In addition to providing subject matter expertise in the growth of new identity management and information sharing services, systems, and processes, the Data Sharing Analyst will support ongoing identity services and the wider INZ with projects involving identity management and the sharing of data and information.

You will manage requests for identification checks and customer information, responding to them as needed, and ensuring compliance with legal, internal, and agreements with our external partners, paying close attention to the Immigration Act of 2009, the Privacy Act of 2020, and other pertinent laws.

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or work experience in an identity management, information sharing, privacy, or risk management related role * Experience in domestic and/or international information sharing best practices and identity management methodologies * Excellent knowledge of Privacy principles, best practice and relevant legislation, e.g. Privacy Act 2020 and Official Information Management Act 1982 * Knowledge of identity management techniques, biometric technologies, and domestic and international information sharing procedures * Must be a New Zealand citizen or hold a Permanent Residence visa.
