Job Description Summary

We are looking for a passionate Electrical Engineer to support and maintain the current product portfolio.

You will support cross-functional engineering team in developing and maintaining high volume patient sensors and accessories (S&A) for medical devices used in critical care and anesthesia devices, ensuring their compliance to regulators and customers’ requirements. Our engineering team locates in Vallila, Helsinki, as part of the GE Healthcare Service and Consumables business.

Job Description

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Support electrical design activities within our engineering team and with suppliers

  • Design and verify outcome to meet all requirements for performance and reliability

  • Provide expertise for verification and testing activities within assigned projects

  • Interact closely with core team members, sourcing, quality and global vendors to meet project deliverables and goals

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent knowledge/experience

  • Knowledge of highly regulated businesses (like medical)

  • Demonstrated skills in working within a diverse global environment

  • Demonstrated skills in proactively identifying and driving closure on product related issues

  • Demonstrated skill in verification testing

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills

Desired Skills

  • Master’s degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent knowledge/experience

  • Experience in highly regulated businesses (like medical) or in high volume sensor and accessory projects

  • Know-how of accessory/sensor technologies and electrical design requirements. Experience with new product development or design change development cycle

  • Knowledge in working in regulated industry under quality management system, preferably medical industry

  • Practical experience with design tools and reliability testing

  • Proven capability to produce technical documentation for a medical device
