Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Unit Manager to join our Dell team. As a Business Unit Manager, you will be responsible for driving the success of our commercial business unit, with a particular focus on distribution and solid storage solutions. This position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in distribution, running commercial business, and solid storage technologies, preferably with exposure to Dell, HP, Hitachi, or Netapp. Familiarity with the Romanian IT market is essential for this role.

Accountaibilities
  • Business Unit Leadership: Take ownership of the commercial business unit's performance, including sales, revenue, and market share growth. Develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed business objectives.
  • Distribution Management: Oversee the distribution channel and build strong relationships with partners. Identify new distribution opportunities and collaborate with partners to drive revenue growth.
  • Solid Storage Solutions: Utilize your expertise in solid storage technologies to design and implement effective sales strategies. Identify customer needs, propose solutions, and drive revenue growth in this product segment.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our customer base and increase market penetration. Build strategic partnerships and alliances to drive business growth.
  • Market Understanding: Stay abreast of the Romanian IT market landscape, including competitors, trends, and customer preferences. Leverage this knowledge to make informed business decisions and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, working closely with cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, product management, and technical support. Align team goals and objectives to achieve overall business success.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and senior management. Deliver persuasive presentations, articulate the value proposition of our products and services, and negotiate contracts and agreements.

Knowledge Skills and Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in distribution, running commercial business, and solid storage technologies. Experience with Dell, HP, Hitachi, or Netapp is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in business development and achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Romanian IT market, including customer needs, competitive landscape, and market trends.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Result-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving business objectives.
