About the Centre

Casey Stadium is a major sport, art and function destination for many residents in Casey and beyond. The newly renovated stadium is Casey's premier indoor sports entertainment centre and hosts sporting events, competitions, as well as dance and drama performances, conferences and lectures. Our café and catering offerings source quality food, offer a varied and innovative menu with the flexibility to cater for all, serviced by an experienced team of professionals who pride themselves on superior service and excellence.

About the role

As a Duty Manager, you will have delegated authority of the Centre Manager. As well as identifying potential risk factors and taking steps to reduce those risks, Duty Managers will act as positive role models in an effort to build strong people, strong families and strong communities within the YMCA community.

Duty Managers will maintain a broad knowledge of centre programs and services whilst at the same time managing a range of centre functions whilst on shift which may include; customer service, café, safety, staff rosters and breaks, plant operations, cash balancing, customer education, conflict resolution and general maintenance/cleaning.

This is a casual position and the hourly rate is $36.35 + super.

About you

As a Duty Manager you will act as positive role model in an effort to build strong people, strong families and strong communities, as well as identifying potential risk factors and taking steps to reduce those risks. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and all facility users.

Essential Qualifications
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • RSA Certificate
Other Desired Qualifications or Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Legislation is an advantage
  • Previous experience in a similar facility in a supervisory role is desirable
