Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, expense reports, and bank reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and variance analysis reports.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and cost management.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including timely and accurate filing of tax returns, preparation of supporting schedules, and monitoring changes in tax laws.
- Auditing: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving any discrepancies or issues identified.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, interpret data, and provide insights on financial performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in financial reporting, record-keeping, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure adherence to relevant guidelines and requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as finance, operations, and management, to provide financial expertise, support decision-making, and achieve organizational goals.
- Software and Tools: Utilize accounting software and tools effectively to perform financial tasks, generate reports, and streamline processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP), and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and tools (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Excel) to perform financial tasks and generate reports.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of internal controls and auditing procedures.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements (if applicable).
- Strong ethics and integrity, ensuring confidentiality and data security.
