Duties and responsibilities:
The manufacturing engineer is part of the team responsible for all technical aspects of the products being manufactured in the production through their life cycle, including all relevant production tools and jigs, and ensure smooth production and proper documentation
Manage New Products Introduction processes, from R&D and initial prototype to mass production and products stabilization
Taking active part in the ECO’s process, ensure all production and engineering aspects are well covered, and drive its implementation and training in the production
Design, duplicate and maintenance of production test tools and jigs within the production floor and at sub-contractors, including SW and HW installation
Lead failure analysis and yield improvements, and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve products quality
Taking active part in process validation planning and performing for new processes and tools in production
Lead Lean and cost reduction activities for production process improvements and new technologies to achieve efficient production processes
Document, write, and maintain proper production work instruction
Engineering support for the manufacturing facility
Ensure and maintain proper production files, including drawings, technical specifications, work instructions, etc., for all products, jigs, and tools
Support purchasing, suppliers and sub-contractors with technical aspects, sourcing, and second source qualification
Communication with manufacturers and suppliers regarding regulatory approvals and manufacturer declarations such as RoHS, REACH, etc.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar relevant field - a must
3+ years’ experience in manufacturing engineering with multi-disciplinary products - a must
Experience with medical device production environment and medical device quality and regulatory requirements
Experience with high volume production processes and relevant low-cost manufacturing technologies
Experience with NPI and ECO’s processes and implementation
Experience with CAD and PLM systems
Hands on expertise in developing and implementing projects and solutions for yield improvements and cost reductions
Exceptional attention to details, ability to multi-task and work under pressure with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Professional work ethic, team player, with strong Interpersonal, and communication skills
Highly organized, motivated, and independent person
very high level of Hebrew and English - spoken and written - a must
