We are now looking for a Sourcing Quality Engineer to join our team at the HQ in Lund.
Who is your future team?
Operations is responsible for Axis global supply chain, sourcing, industrialization and manufacturing. We plan and execute to meet customer demands. We work in close collaboration with manufacturing partners worldwide, we take responsibility for building and maintaining a supplier base with everything needed to manufacture Axis products. We ensure that our supply chain is reliable in terms of quality and environmental impact. We also develop and supply equipment used to produce and test Axis products. We lead configuration, and logistic centers, including handling distribution orders and shipment.
You will be part of a team consisting of 12 dedicated colleagues working in the volume phase to ensure that we have a supplier base that is qualified and capable of delivering high and consistent product quality. Axis does not have its own manufacturing, which means that the supply chain into Axis includes both component suppliers and contract manufacturers.
What will you do as a Sourcing Quality Engineer?
As a Sourcing Quality Engineer you will have a close collaboration with all the different functions within Operations, R&D and Production. You will be part of one or more commodity-teams that is responsible for creating and developing a well-functioning supplier base, in a certain component area, e.g. injection-moulded plastics, castings, cabling or purchased products. As a Sourcing Quality Engineer you will have a global responsibility for the supplier base from production quality, environmental and CSR perspectives. You will also:
- Plan and conduct audits, improvements, and development of suppliers
- Analyze customer feedback and other data to identify and drive cross-functional improvement activities
- Re-establish the experiences from the volume phase to the development projects
This role involves about 30-50 days of international travel per year.
Who are you?

We also see that you are a team player that listens to your colleges to help them to precede in the right direction.
We furthermore believe that you have:
- A University degree in the technical area
- Knowledge and experience from quality methods, such as Lean, FMEA, SPC, Cmk
- Knowledge and experience from management systems, ISO9001, ISO14001 and auditing techniques
- Experience in supplier development
- Well acquainted with different types of manufacturing processes
- A good analyst with long-term/strategic perspective
Experience from working with production improvements is a valuable merit.
