Role Overview & Primary Accountabilities:
- Implementation of a sound programme of process and Good Run Setting to ensure continual improvement in of World Class Manufacturing principles.
- Implement programmes of web handling, fluff forming, die cut, hot melt system, splicing, stacker and process specialization to ensure machines run on good process conditions as well as machines produce good product quality.
- Lead and coordinate projects of product innovation, process improvement on machine with budget amount up to US$250,000.
- Support preventive maintenance program with related function/personnel.
- Lead and coordinate technical problem solving, machine improvement activities on assigned machine/area.
- Implement programme of controlling run-to-target.
- Control and establish good run settings through trials (RSR, MSR).
- Control and update BOM.
- Implement Grade-change programme to ensure minimum delay time of changeover as well as minimum time of post-changeover recovery.
- Implement database of RM specifications to ensure good RM quality prior production.
- Daily spot check and take action if required on safety requirements (hat, ear plug, shoes, mask, gloves, glasses, lock out in maintenance and changeover). Daily spot check and take action on work permit of any contractor working on site. Daily report of any hazard occurs.
- Perform the tasks requested by process champion.
- Understands and applies relevant quality management principles in all assignments and responsibilities to support the company’s goal of achieve world class status in quality.
Essential Requirements:
- Degree of mechanical or electrical engineering with 2 years working experience. Problem solving and analytical skill is a must.
- Basic English and Computer literacy
- Knowledge in process engineering is ad advantage
- Planning, training skill
