1) ML and AI techniques for wide area motion imagery systems;
2) ML for medical sensing and imaging prototypes based on microwave technology; and
3) inverse design of microwave antennas and metamaterials.
To succeed in these tasks, you will be working in collaborating with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists who are developing these prototypes and applications.
The role will allow you to apply your ML skills to a wide range of applications which are developed by META across its various business units. This may require you to research and implement appropriate ML technologies in collaboration with other members of the ML team, or apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts in ML to improve performance of already developed algorithms. This will require you to work closely with other team members to integrate these algorithms (and related codes) with targeted hardware prototypes and applications.
Some of the typical responsibilities will include:
- Define efficient deep learning models and design approaches for different computer vision and time series forecasting challenges
- Research and implement advanced ML techniques for problems with limited data and great variability (e.g. transfer and meta learning)
- Write codes (e.g. in Python) to implement these techniques
- Develop technical reports and datasheets to summarize and assess results and suggest next development steps
- Contribute to IP generation and patent filing, as well as dissemination of publicly targeted research findings
Minimum Qualifications:
- MSc or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- At least one year of working experience or related academic experience in software development and analytics with commonly used programming languages
- Hands on development experience (ML & AI models, mathematical programming algorithms, predictive modelling) with Python, Matlab or equivalent language
- Excellent interpersonal/team working and communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Experience with mathematical optimization methods
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in ML or related area
- Proven knowledge of ML toolbox and Python libraries, and ability to design, build, and test data pipelines
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g. Tensorflow, PyTorch) and with version control systems (Git)
Feel like you can’t tick all the boxes above? If you have some of the skills and experience that we’re looking for and are willing to use your talent to learn the rest, we encourage you to apply!
