About the role
We are looking for a skilled Human Resources Coordinator with generalist HR knowledge to join our Berlin office on a part-time basis (up to 20 hours per week). In this role you will be responsible for all of the common HR tasks including assisting with payroll, advising staff on policies and procedures and working on various People/HR initiatives.
ClientEarth’s Global People & Culture Department supports our c.300 employees, enabling them to deliver our mission – using the power of the law to bring about systemic change that protects the earth for – and with – its inhabitants.
You will be working within the People (HR) business partner model, to support our team in Berlin, currently c.30 employees.
Main Duties
- Employee Onboarding
- Maintaining employee records
- Coordinating monthly payroll
- Supervising employee capital plans and private medical care
- Undertaking absence administration.
- Supervising the completion of timesheets
- Advising employees on all HR matters

Role requirements
- Part qualified HR professional or equivalent work experience
- HR Administration experience, including:
- Running monthly payroll
- Updating and maintaining employee records (paper files and data in HRIS)
- Experience of providing day to day HR advice & support to colleagues and managers
- Fluent (CEFR level C2) in English
- Fluent (CEFR level C2) in German
