ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- You lead and develop a group of Product Safety Managers and experienced scientists located at Mannheim, Leverkusen, Münster and Berlin; in addition, you are technically responsible for various colleagues from other knoell locations (USA, UK, and Korea) associated to the group. Leading the group includes communication through regular 1:1s, team meetings, motivation, managing performance, hiring, onboarding, compensation decisions, staff appraisals, etc.

- You build-up, maintain and share practical knowledge related to SDS Authoring in the knoell EHS system, Classification and Labelling of Chemicals and Dangerous Goods and other Product Safety related Regulatory Topics. You manage with your group Product Safety projects in a very dynamic and strongly client-focused environment. You ensure that the group members can be deployed flexibly and have a broad range of skills.
- You cooperate closely with all Leaders within the Divisions Chemistry and Product Safety and the Head of Division CPS III.
- You manage resources and capacities within the group; also in cooperation with related groups.
- You promote economic thinking and behavior within the group in line with our business strategy.
- You communicate and cooperate closely with our clients; you promote knoell's services within our client network and support sales initiatives and new client acquisitions.
- You supervise a global team of system administrators who maintain and host the knoell EHS system in close cooperation with the software provider and knoell IT. With that team you ensure availability and up-to-date content of the knoell EHS system.
PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- You hold a university degree in chemistry, food chemistry, toxicology, biology or comparable disciplines.
- You have several years of work experience in SDS authoring, master data management or content management.
- You have a good understanding of software systems and concepts of automation of processes and workflows.
- You have experience in managing complex projects.
- Your English level is fluent, both in verbal and written form.
- You possess excellent interpersonal and team playing skills and a service oriented personality and attitude.
- You are characterized by own initiative and enjoy accompanying growth and change with your decision-making ability.
- You are a quick learner, able to respond to new challenges and efficiently navigate a complex matrix structure.
- You are highly motivated and have excellent communication and organizational skills.
