- Global sun complex balance sheets, including forecasting crush, domestic consumption and global sunseeds/sfo flows for EU, Ukraine, Russia, Argentina and minor origins.
- Global sbo flows forecasting, including exports tracking at the main origins (SAM, USA, EU & Russia), minor origins exports tracking (Algeria, Egypt, Turkey, Other ME countries) and linking these assumptions with destinations demand (India, China, Bangladesh, Pakista, NAF, others..).
The vegoils Junior Analyst will also be involved in Global/EU rapeseeds & rape oil complex. The role includes updating the research centralized database, effectively communicating updates to the trading team (calls, Teams, emails) and coming up with conclusions on future price direction.
Main responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis of EU/Black Sea/Argentina & minor origins sunseeds/SFO supply & demand
- Conduct analysis of Global SBO flows & demand
- Conduct analysis of Global rapeseeds and rso flows
- Participate in crop tours
- Work with analysts and traders in other relevant countries
- Communicate results of analysis to Geneva traders and global group
- Provide the group early warnings on sudden S&D changes
- Work with traders to develop trading strategy, highlight opportunities and risks
- Coordinate with origination and commercial desks to include feedback into S&D analysis
- Monitor line-ups & customs and update the group
- Participate in business development projects in the region (assist with research, analysis, and presentations)
- Build a good network with external market players/analysts
- Experience of 2-3 years maximum on a similar role
- Strong market trends analysis skills
- Strong interest for Oilseeds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Willingness to travel when required (e.g. for crop tours)
- A mature professional with humility, capable of integrating well into different cultures
- Very Good Excel skills
- PowerBI and Coding skills (Python, R...) knowledge will be a plus
- Knowledge of the oilseeds markets will be a plus
