Job description:
We are now looking for an experienced technical superintendent to join our team. In the position you will follow up Peak Group's existing fleet and newbuilding projects. You will report to Peak Group’s Fleet Manager. For the existing fleet, you will work closely with our ship management in Netherlands/Norway, Operations/Chartering, certifying bodies and suppliers to ensure efficient operation of our vessels and a safe work environment for our crew. You will also be heavily involved in our newbuilding projects that includes new green technology. We have a roadmap for decarbonization and you will be responsible for following up initiatives for reducing emissions from our fleet.
Essential responsibilities and duties:
- Responsible for monitoring maintenance of the fleet on an overall basis including identification of trends.
- Follow up the annual dockings and the 10 year-docking-plan. Participate in planning, execution and follow up of budgets.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant Class, Statutory and Company rules, regulations and policies.
- Participate in purchasing network and follow up of suppliers.
- Assist in annual budget process and cost management.
- Participate in digitalization process for implementation of new ship management system.
- Implement new sustainable solutions for our existing fleet.
- Participate in newbuilding projects in close collaboration with other companys within the group.
- Analyze risk management data
- Travel activity should be expected.
Education & experience:
- BSc within relevant engineering discipline.
- Other relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal qualifications.
- Sailing experience from project/bulk/selfdischarger vessels.
- Relevant experience from ship management/similar position.
Job knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Value and promote QHSE in all relevant areas.
- Interest for digitalization as support for ship management processes.
- Knowledge of class and flag requirements, e.g. ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL, Maritime Labour Convention Marine Operations, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO45001 requirements.
- Able to work independently and in teams
- Determined and result oriented.
- Good teamwork and leadership skills.

Established autumn 2005, Peak Group with its team based in Bergen in Norway, currently operate 20 dry cargo, project and selfdischarging vessels in sizes ranging from 1000 dwt to 6000 dwt. The fleet consists of modern, fully boxed tonnage suitable for carrying generals, project cargoes, and all major bulk commodities including IMO-classified cargoes.
