About the Service

Located in the beautiful coastal regional city of Coffs Harbour surrounded by a host of stunning beaches and tranquil rainforests, this youth residential alcohol and other drug service provides therapeutic rehabilitation and withdrawal support to young people aged 13 – 18 years.

This youth residential rehab provides an 8-bed recovery service, including 2 withdrawal beds providing a safe environment to withdraw from alcohol and/or other drugs. The12 week program Is structured to include therapeutic interventions, psycho-education, relapse prevention, case management, cultural connection activities, life skills and aftercare support.

This program and service is led by a compassionate, curious and non-judgmental leader, passionate about supporting staff and asking, ‘why not, and what’s next?’

Your opportunity

As an Administration Officer, you will be providing administrative and operational support to the team on key operational matters and progression of quality improvement projects and initiatives.

In this position you will:

  • Provide administration and operational support to the team
  • Provide secretariat support for meetings, including meeting minutes.
  • Collate and prepare reports using Microsoft Office 365 including integrated development and organisational software applications.
  • Coordinate and manage events, training, and meeting requests.
  • Reconciliation of credit card and petty cash.
  • Respond to external and internal telephone calls and emails.
  • Prepare documents to a high standard of accuracy and presentation.

This is a part time position, working 26.6 hours per week and hourly rate of pay is between $36.00 - $38.60 per hour plus packaging and super depended on skills and experience.

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, there are some essentials you’ll need:

  • Proven capacity to provide a high standard of confidential administrative support.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Professional presentation and well-developed client liaison skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and negotiate practical outcomes.
  • Highly developed skills using MS suite of applications including the design of tables, charts and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to proactively prioritise, multi-task and work flexibly.
  • A valid Working with Children Check (or the ability to apply).

While not essential, we’d also love you to have:

  • Qualifications in administration or business are highly regarded.
  • Previous experience or demonstrated interest in working with a non-profit organization.
